It’s always a joy when legendary composer and director John Carpenter releases something he hasn’t already used in his horror films, and this two-track gem is no exception. That said, both ‘Skeleton’ and ‘Unclean Spirit’ are pure, unmistakable Carpenter; electro synths carve out a futuristic ghost train’s rhythm on the former, while the latter recalls the abyssal scale of the theme from Carpenter’s Halloween in its chilling piano phrasing and pseudo-classical melody line.
