Genevieve Artadi has made her name as part of the proggy jazz-pop group KNOWER, and her second solo LP (and first for Brainfeeder) Dizzy Strange Summer shows off some of the high-energy whimsy of that group’s output. However, Dizzy Strange Summer is also a record which demonstrates Artadi’s range, combining the more KNOWER-esque tracks with ruminative ballads, soulful joints and playful postmodern dance-pop numbers in the vein of Confidence Man.
