Aril Brikha has returned to the fray in recent times, and a run of releases culminates in Prisma - the producer’s first LP for well over a decade. Despite all the time away, Brikha clearly hasn’t lost his knack for creating deft and deceptively punchy derivations of Detroit techno. At its most ruminative Prisma resembles Levon Vincent and the Smallville Records stable, while the more upbeat takes have a little contemporary Italo about them.
