You may know him best as Conforce, but nowadays it’s just as likely to find Boris Bunnik releasing records under his Versalife alias. New Versalife EP Cosmic Language finds Bunnik serving up a set of electro grooves which become more unusual as the record progresses. While it starts off with the relatively well-heeled, Detroit-style electro tool ‘Neogenesis’, by the end of Cosmic Language the tracks have incorporated distorted and dubbed-out tones into their mix - or, in the case of ‘Recirculator’, left electro broken-beats behind for the mechanical thump of techno.
