Delsin adopts long-time orbiter in the electro solar system Versalife for a luscious label debut. Shape Shifter EP travels remarkable lengths on very little fuel, frequently invoking great, complex spheres of existence with little more than beats and pitch-perfect space ambiences. ‘Synapse’ is a case in point; a tense high-end drone simmers as a clacking snare kicks in at the one minute mark. The title track showcases a dancefloor sensibility of low-key genius, grounded in restraint rather than boneheaded bombast.
