Dabub debut on Ohm Resistance with a set of doom-laden electronics that wander away from the dancefloor and into altogether more shadowy terrain. There are club rhythms bobbing in the swamp of A Sun Called Moon - the EP’s B-side demonstrates particularly strong breakbeat and IDM influences - but these beats are turned inside out by Dabub’s murky soundscapes and ominous dark ambiences. Think UVB-76 crossed with Kangding Ray, then spun out with Scorn’s moodiest atmospherics.
