Throughout her life, Ruth Anderson made experimental music which touched on musique concrete, drone, noise, electroacoustic composition and minimalism. Five of her works are collected on the new LP Here, a record that Anderson green-lit just before her passing in November 2019. The influence of Steve Reich’s phasing can be heard on May Swenson collaboration ‘The Pregnant Dream’ while the other tracks touch on Eliane Radigue, Karlheinz Stockhausen and, in the case of the collaged ‘Sum’, Carl Stone.
