Honest Jon’s Records gives us another look at what’s in his travel-worn knapsack. This time, it’s far eastern tones re-upped from the Baltic Sea from DJ Sotofett and Osaruxo. Hebi is a cross-temporal and cross-continental exercise in drastically reduced psychedelia; deep inner journeys by the slightest of means. Where ‘Hebi’ ushers the dance with a jaunty string and beat combo, things become slyly meditative — and a little dark — with the two searching parts of ‘Haru’.
