Citinite is a new label set up by sometime Warp designer Manuel Sepulveda, also know as DJ Manny Zambrano, who's obscene knowledge of all things Electro-Funk and Italo-disco makes him the best possible person to explore this rarely mined but instantly refreshing genre of music. You may remember Robert ODell from a previous release a long time ago on Rephlex, Cazelica is a peculiar new six-track EP by this maverick Detroit Veteran, which sounds like Prince in a washing machine after a long session digesting the best of Detroit techno's back catalogue. His spooky sax-spiked take on the Rolling Stones' disco classic 'Miss You' is a strange treat, with a very intimate almost haunted feel. He's talking about releasing a collaboration with George Clinton for his next ep!
