Hailing from the musical hotbed of 1980s Amsterdam, Minimal Compact saw post-punk sweep the European continent, as well as their native city. Built from reworked tracks of the group’s classic cuts, Creation Is Perfect feels like the final realisation of a long-running project, realised with the help of safe pair of hands Colin Newman of Wire. Whipsmart guitar lines clack across these tunes, matched by deadpan vocals recalling This Heat and Swell Maps.
