This reissue of The 4th Wave’s — aka Steve Paton — Attention Please celebrates a bygone era of classic left field techno, as well as providing an ode dedicated to the genre staple of the amen break. Originally released on Kirk Degiorgio’s label in 1996, the limited run of Attention Please now rests in relative obscurity, lying in possession of collectors and heads. But Applied Rhythmic Technology yet sought out Paton for his re-release approval, to which he agreed. Indebted to Detroit house as much as European sources, Attention Please pumps alongside the greatest of UK techno’s golden age.
