Merzbow, Keiji Haino and Balazs Pandi make one hell of a racket on Become The Discovered, Not The Discoverer. The trio’s first LP together since 2016’s An Untroublesome Defencelessness is brutal and cathartic in equal measure. Haino and Merzbow’s screeching walls of sound oscillate between noise rock and doom metal while Pandi’s drums are at once rhythmic and abstract.
