Maps returns after half a decade of silence with the new LP Colours. Reflect. Time. Loss.. This is another set of chest-swelling indiestrumentals from the Northamptonshire artist. The scope of these tracks brings to mind acts like Explosions In The Sky and The Twilight Sad, but the endless optimism of Colours. Reflect. Time. Loss. gives it a far more positive spin. These are the sort of bright shiny mornings that we find in the output of Broken Social Scene and Elbow.
