It’s been a long 25 years since we’ve been able to stick Robert Hood’s techno master-workout ‘Master Builder’, but the fine folks over at Tresor Records have duly obliged with a new cut and pressing, as a companion piece alongside their re-release of Hood’s 1994 classic Internal Empire. Conceived in reaction to the formidable challenge of following up ‘Minimal Nation’, ‘Master Builder’ is a groundbreaking work of minimal techno; the sound of a slate being wiped clean.
