Pistol Pete tends not to rush his releases. Orphan, the Stockholm-based producer’s 4th EP in 6 years, is another example of Pistol Pete taking his time in order to make sure that whatever he ends up putting out will be worth hearing. The tracks here are pretty, twinkling and slightly lo-fi deep house that have plenty of Moomin to them. It’s not the sort of thing one usually associates with Idle Hands, but who cares when the music is this captivating?
