A cracking selection of tunes from Don’t Be Afraid here. The latest drop in the label’s .5 series sees them pull no punches. Each of the tracks here will do some mega damage in the dance. The A-sides from Herva and General Ludd are whirligig amalgamations of dub techno, leftfield club fare and soundsystem styles. The intensity is ratcheted up even further on the flip - while Nene H channels Total Freedom for ‘Retto’, Altered Natives reaches for the acid on future classic ‘Dancing Girl’.
