The wickedly titled Bad Vibes finds Shit & Shine in locked into a typically heavy production mode with nine tracks that cross the monomaniacal mindset of techno with a proper punk attitude. Who else can you name who has span plates for Diagonal, Rocket, Editions Mego and Riot Season, with a sound that jumps effortlessly between 'skeletal techno, sample-strewn collages, kraut-fried repetition and self-described electronic scree'? At the heart of it all, Bad Vibes is dancefloor music for people going for it so late in the party they can't quite remember where the floor is. A demolition derby between high trash and the lowest avant-garde from one of the most prolific in the game. Hats off to Shit & Shine one again for always keeping the bar incredibly well stocked and the quality at a perfect high.
