On its 10th anniversary, DJ Stingray 313’s ever relevant debut album receives a futuristic re-release via his very own Micron Audio label. Featuring a collection of cold sweat inducing electro, F.T.N.W.O. uses a variety of vocal samples to create scathing remarks on modern life, most evidently on ‘Interest Rate’, where economic outrage fuels vicious bass rushes. Though filled with turmoil, with looming low frequencies and a boxing match between pummelling kicks and seismic synth sirens on ‘No Knock’, it’s not all doom and gloom: ‘Reverse Engineering’ and ‘Outsourced’ contain some of the most danceable and euphoric passages across the record.
