ADULT.’s seventh LP Detroit House Guests dropped early in 2017 and was an intriguing venture for the band, with each track a collaboration and guests including Michael Gira and Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe. Come the end of the year and we get a set of bonus beats here, with four esteemed acts stepping up on remix duties. Labelmates LIARS turn in a ghostly reworking of ‘Breathe On’ - the track hints at trip-hop, Japanese harp music and coldwave without ever fully settling on a particular style. Silent Servant, Barry Adamson and Sharron Funchess all contribute a rework, with Funchess doing a nice flip of the collaboration she did with ADULT. on the original LP.
