Taking his name from a ubiquitously British contingent of independent drinking establishments, Brighton based producer Stephen Maskell makes some undeniably interesting music. The opening track on Live From Concrete Island is a polyrhythmic bloodbath reminiscent of the weirder side of Glasgow duo General Ludd. Over the course of the rest of the tape he delivers equally frantic, melodic and playful techno jams aplenty.
