The king of new school house returns with a two track 12 inch, an apparent homage to the cities of New York and Berlin. Having called both places home in his lifetime, the track titles seem fitting (if a little obvious). Released via his own Novel Sound imprint, both tracks channel the same atmosphere of his early classics but there’s an almost big beat inspired sound going on through the A side. NYC, on the other hand, has that classic thunderous kick and instantly catchy melody combination which Levon has become so known for.
