First ever time on vinyl for this balls-out 40 minute psych freakout courtesy of Wire magazine favourite and esteemed noise-peddler Keiji Haino. The Japanese avant-gardist utilises primitive electronics, voice loops, piano, and mysterious homemade instruments in this immersive whirlwind of sound. Recorded in Kyoto over forty years ago, this intriguing document lacks the electric guitar, an instrument which would later prove a staple in Haino’s musical practice. Imagine Terry Riley’s Persian Surgery Dervishes with a blatant disregard for any meditative quality and the attitude of a strung out Hell's Angel member and you’ll be close to imagining just how bonkers this is.
