Glaswegian Murray CY (the CY stands for ‘Contort Yourself’ after a label he runs) comes with four off-kilter tracks that bridge the gap between contemporary noise and new wave, with techno only there as a spine for the elements to grab onto. The kick on the title track really slaps right back atcha, while the rough’n’ready synths steadily reveal the anarchic energy they house. This truly isn’t music for the faint hearted.
