Bleep

With a mantra of keeping things simple, the native New Yorker just comes up trumps using a common sound palette for house, though in a manner uniquely his own. The percussion is always busy, the synths always wandering, sounds seemingly start and finish out of nowhere, it’s just strictly J, man. The title track has a rough sheen to it, the synths featuring a wheezy gust, as if emitted from a 20-a-day smoker, or heavy vaper. No discrimination here. The final cut, ‘For Soho’ bumps and grooves along nicely. The percussive breaks sat low in the mix, while the simple piano melody rings true through it all.
