Vancouver’s D.Tiffany don’s a new guise DJ Zozi for a hazed run on some classic and very much on-trend breakbeat and UK hardcore samples for the Mellow Vibe EP on 1080p. From the off, those signature dream-laced, astral chords are out in full force on the title cut, providing the all-important backing for some crisp breaks and even a discrete new-age flute, big smiles all around on this one. Next, the Canadian takes a big hit and exhales some big, soothing, smoked-out chords all over some rollicking UK hardcore call & response percussion, whilst ‘Snow Globe’ sports a funkier strut with its cheeky guitar licks and cowbell overload; finally rounding off on the filter-heavy mind warp of ‘Zozi Theme’.
