A Bleep.com first? Maltese Neil Hales aka Acidulant is one of them, a fully-fledged acid freak and a qualified aircraft pilot. Hales writes electronic music with Roland machines. He has released multiple singles and EPs on different labels including Plus Records (Japan), Cannibald Records (Italy), Acid All Stars (US). This new EP sees him hone his jack’ craft yet further displaying a maturity with the Roland gear for London imprint Balkan Recordings (Posthuman’s label). Wild samplism, chunky breaks, squirming acid lines – heady brew! Remix duties fall to Balkan newcomers Type-303 and Dylab.
