Adesse Versions returns to Glasgow powerhouse Numbers with a new EP, following last year’s vinyl-only Pride. Either of these stellar tracks could warrant a release all on its own. ‘That’s What Friends Are For’ is an intense, dramatic techno stomper with squelchy acid bass and dread-infused synths. Once again, Adesse Versions does wonders with a female vocal. Indebted to Ron Trent, Carl Craig – needless to say this one absolutely kills. ‘In The Sticks’ allows a sliver of light to peer through the cracks, before opening up into a warm-hearted psychedelic jam.
