London-based producer and MC makes his long awaited vinyl debut on Oil Gang with the big Ballys On EP. First off, the title cut is a tension-laced, dramatic piece with its thrilling string stabs, eventually being joined by crisp drum ticks and moody synth chords that’ll set the dance alight, whilst time employs a more creeping approach with tweaked-out bass blops. Flipside the artist pays homage to the label with ‘Oil Gang’ dropping in the sinfully underappreciated panpipes together with heavy, wobble board bass, followed by ‘Floating’, which takes the money with its finely blended steel drums and finger drumming assortment.
