With a killer record for 1080p under his belt, New York-based producer Max McFerren drops three tracks on Physical Therapy’s label Allergy Season. Although less all-over-the-place-in-a-good-way than some of his other productions, the record is still crammed with unusual sounds and samples, whether that’s the Enigma-esque new age chanting that runs through ‘Monk’s Mood’ or the robo-didgeridoo bassline of ‘With All My Sophistications’, which sounds somewhere between a main stage dance act like The Chemical Brothers and a flashback of a Goa beach party. Capping off the release is a fine remix of opening track ‘Hunting’ but analogue house duo and fellow New Yorkers Blondes.
