Berlin-based Argentine duo Mueran Humanos land down on ATP for a new album, Miseress, their first since 2011. A sophomore effort, Carmen Burguess and Tomás Nochteff craft a synth-pop from the other side of the world: a mesmerising blend of Latin American melody and counterpoint plugged into icy-cool European minimal wave. Excitingly, this is the first time guitars have entered Humanos’ studio, which adds some nice abrasive angles to their electronic palette. Better still, those strings are the work of Einstürzende Neubauten’s own guitar-manipulator Jochen Arbeit. Tip.
