West Norwood Cassette Library celebrates its 5th anniversary with an appropriately titled EP from its label don Bob Bhamra who raids the vaults and unearths four previously unreleased, dub-plate only cuts for our listening pleasure. Diving straight in, ‘Blonde On Blonde (Dunkle VIP)’ offsets vapour-trail chords with a clumpy percussive groove, whilst ‘Say What? (Ambient Parks Reprise)’ lays down a surging, metallic drone replete with keypad dial tones. Turn over for the stripped down stomper of ‘Think (It Ain't Illegal Yet)’ with its echoed shouting and industrial references, whereas ‘Up Periscope!’ joins the dots between sunken UK bass vibrations and future-facing IDM robot funk.
