As part of the Magic Mountain Trio, David Moufang aka Move D and Juju and Jordash's Jordan Czamanski are known for their mesmerising live performances — so the hypnotising effects of their hardware improvisations in Seattle in May 2013 shouldn’t come as a surprise. Local label Further Records have immortalised the duo’s 99-minute set at the 1927 Events venue, offering an insight into the producer’s captivating performance talents. Refreshingly, the mix avoids all too obvious progressions. The producers invite us to enter a world of swelling keyboard drones, oscillating alien organs and agitating piano motives – they perfectly strike the balance between removing the beat at unexpected times and satisfying a dance-crazy crowd with sufficient drops.
