Italian DJ/producer Manuel Fogliata is best known for his work alongside Donato Dozzy, but across his sporadic 12” releases for labels like Aquaplano – not to mention a 2011 solo album for Further Records – he’s proven to be a consummate producer of techno, minimal, downtempo, and ambient music. On his second solo album, Fogliata uses a single semi-modular synth and a small handful of effects pedals to craft his abstract instrumentals, resulting in a series of freeform experiments, repetitions, and drones that gradually build in intensity across its running time.
