For his 1968 movie Comandamenti per un gangster, Italian director Alfio Caltabiano looked to create a movie stylised by influences from the gangster, Giallo and Western traditions. Who else, then, to score the film but Ennio Morricone? Morricone was on a hot streak at the time - For A Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly had both been released in the three years prior to Comandamenti… - and his grandiose compositions for the flick ooze class and confidence. Now Dagored have reissued the soundtrack on wax.
