Originally released on cassette (limited to just 100 copies), Lnrdcroy’s 2014 album ‘Much Less Normal’ has become a cult classic. Edinburgh’s Firecracker Recordings have managed to put together a much-needed vinyl release of this atmospheric, cosmic electronica album. Based in Vancouver, Lnrdcroy’s music has echoes of ambient, early techno and 80s new wave. Using vintage Roland and Yamaha gear, the Canadian producer has produced a work that is as bleak as it is euphoric. His dreamlike compositions are unlike anything his contemporaries are producing, which makes this vinyl issue is an essential release.
