Linkwood returns to Firecracker (Fudge Fingas, Lord Of The Isles) with a cool three-track. What has set the producer apart in the past is his ability to create EPs with a good ebb and flow, and once again Fresh Gildans displays a great grasp of structure both in the space of a single tune and across a whole EP. The way the hyper-electro of the title-track gives way to ‘Solar Panel’s deep ambience before rounding out with the tight house shuffle of ‘Another Late Night’ makes for great listening both in the dance and on the sofa.
