Djrum drops a drum & bass influenced 12" of next level beat science. With both offerings clocking in just shy of 10 minutes, Djrum has clearly used this release as an opportunity to flex some productional muscles and build floor-focused tangibility out of swarming ambient brilliance. Plantain demonstrates this structure perfectly, a swampy rainforest setting becomes the backdrop for a dystopian breakbeat crescendo. A similarly off-kilter DnB timeline plays out on the closer summarising the viewpoint of a producer who sees this craft as a discipline and an artform.
