The title track opens up proceedings with a ministerial vocal section from Dodd-Ellis and a worldly groove-driven beat perfect for selectors and headphone listeners alike. The cross-continental influences continue on Inward Sun Reprise and positively flourish on Clock Version before the mantras of Daniel Dodd-Ellis provide a centrepiece for the finale on Lovestruck Battlefield. The meeting of Friedman’s syrupy, genre-bending beats with the demo-baritone musings of Daniel Dodd-Ellis is nothing short of dynamite. A unique and thoroughly enjoyable release.
