Dave Saved, aka Neapolitan producer Davide Salvati, drops this wondrous release on Gang of Ducks. Following in the same trajectory as 2013’s Prisoners Of Gravity on the excellent Astro:Dynamics, the Power and Silence: Deindustrialization EP is a murky collage of foggy, mumbled house. ‘Power and Silence’ is an expansive affair, searching for the perfect sonics in a world of imperfection. ‘No Lights’ treads a straightforward path amidst darkened territory, while ‘Virtual Feelings’ is all distorted, wobbling basslines and blasts of synth. Aisha Devi, often better known as Border Community’s Kate Wax, makes an an unsettling eastern wail from the bones of ‘Power and Silence’, while G.O.D. fashions from the bones of ‘Virtual Feelings’ a dank, Huerco S.-like river of sludge.
