New York City legend Todd Terry supplies two big-room anthems for Clone Royal Oak. Both tracks here were previously released on Terry’s InHouse Records, and now thankfully make their way to the masses. ‘Tonite’, a slice of vintage house built around bruising kicks, a beefy Roland bass line and sparse vocal samples, packs a punch despite its economy. ‘Rock That’ is the more intriguing of the two, sporting a maddeningly addictive bass loop, disco-mined horn and string samples and a relentless hat-powered groove.
