A truly captivating listen that is as intriguing as its verbose title. A collaboration between Russell Haswell and PAIN JERK (Kohei Gomi), it captures a live recording from 2012 that has been manipulated and moulded over the course of two years into the two works on offer here. Following the performance each made his own adjustments, edits and additions before sending them back and forth for further tweaking. The results are two 'Mega Edits', lengthy barrages of sound and ideas. As dense and challenging as it is fascinating, it represents the bravest and finest in collage, electro-acoustics and freeform noise as practised by two seasoned experts.
