Brooklyn imprint Software Recording Co. deliver the long awaited debut LP Incursio from Los Angeles native Napolian. Channeling his West Coast hip hop influences into a frazzled electronic network, Napolian’s beats are weighted and prominent, no more so on the clattering workout ‘DARPA’. LP opener ‘Is It Love’ is uplifting and catchy whilst ‘1 Peter 1:3-4’ is a cyborg-styled exercise in robot hip-hop funk with strong chord stabs, doodling melodies and an almighty low-end rumble.
