J. Tijn comes right off the back of releases for Overlee Assembly and Power Vacuum for his third release on Untold’s Pennyroyal. This hard-hitting three tracker sucks in the influence of early rave and spits it back out as a triage of unrelenting, concentrated dynamite destined to send the crowd into a frenzy. First off is the destructive ‘Yearn’, raining down heavy symbol crashes and a battering ram-like kick drum – simple in construction, deadly in effect. On the other side find the gurgling acid of ‘Innart’ followed by the mind-melting dubbed techno throbber ‘Nuke’.
