Pennyroyal continues its pursuit of big, ear-bleeding beats with new Irish signing Myler and his tough Gorilla Biscuits EP. The title cut leads off with bold, pummelling drums before shifting into a shimmying percussive jam whilst the ‘Shortbread Edit’ ups the abrasion for a workout of industrial-grade techno geared only for the darkest basements. Over on the flip is the interestingly titled ‘Carol Vorderman’, spluttering out barbarian beats over dominating metallic licks that are sure to push even the most hardened sound systems into the red.
