Tech house producer Gui Boratto started out as an architect and A&R man who worked to licence his native Sao Paulo’s music around the world. His own tracks are precise, and this collection of singles for Kompakt offshoot K2 captures some of his best moments: the siren-like bass and intricate clicking of ‘Chains’, the deep groovy keyboards and 4/4 beats of ‘Symmetria’. Think Hot Chip with no silliness and all the focus on just sound.
