Ukraine DJ Etapp Kyle’s rise to fame comes as no surprise to regulars of Moscow’s ARMA17 club - or to German producer Ben Klock who’s given the youngster a shot on techno series Klockworks. In four tracks Kyle shows why he’s so in demand, delivering twinkling radar and 4/4 beats on ‘Astra’, crisp hauntology on ‘Drama’, upbeat, shimmering keys on ‘Aurora’ and blocky synths on ‘Prizma’. If Klock invites him over, resident Berlin electro star Paul Kalkbrenner better watch his back.
