Eternally cited and oft covered, The KLF’s classic ‘What Time Is Love?’ gets reverse engineered and destroyed on the first of four albums Special Request has planned for a 12 month period. Rave synths are transmitted via spacefaring signals, with arpeggio sequences, ambient passages, and hardcore belters extended through these exploratory tracks. A heavy dose of classic house is filtered through bubbling synth frenzies and a corrugated four to the floor, meanwhile the ‘Spiral Sunrise’ sequence features electro experimentations in form and flow, following thundering synth melodies that twist and rage until a real storm rolls in, bathing the tracks in revelatory mist.
