Experimental soundscapes that esckew the dance floor, normally preferred by techno producer Stefan Goldmann, given up in favour of looming ambient passages and instrumentals. Recorded in June 2012 at Honen-In Tempe on the slopes of the eastern hills of Kyoto in Japan, the release hears the Berlin veteran moving through fourteen separate pieces before a small and intimate audience. Suggesting connections to Japanese culture and its musical tradition, Goldmann balances bold experimentation alongside austerity.
