Vinyl obsessive, DJ Kev Beadle gives us all the opportunity to own some of those rare-grooves and soul obscurities that rocked the cult 80's dancefloors in underground London. Veteran jazz selector Kev Beadle is the one behind Barely Breaking Even’s latest compilation. Beadle’s Private Collection: Independent Jazz Sounds From The 70’s and 80’s sees him flicking through his record boxes to present some of his most beloved rare gems. Many of these tracks have gained a cult following off the back of the Talking Loud sessions Beadle runs at Camden’s Dingwalls alongside Gilles Peterson and Bob Jones. This is a groove-heavy collection that frequently crosses over into fusion, funk and soul.
