The second of these reissues is his 2011 self-titled LP. The Haxan Cloak quickly stepped even further out from the margins of then contemporary electronic music on his first full length, making for an altogether more cohesive and more harrowing listen than his prior work under the moniker. ‘An Archaic Device’ is among the standouts, a stirring, string-laded track that also has now given a name to his very own imprint.
